About Mojo Peppa Sauce

Our Story

It began in 2013 with an addiction to an unforgettable hot sauce from a local roti shop. Inspiration turned into an obsession to recreate: experimenting, refining, and distilling recipes down to their essence until something new emerged.

By 2016, that journey became Mojo Peppa Sauce, starting with our first Trini-Guyanese–inspired peppa sauce. Founded by Peter Tong — a lifelong food lover shaped by decades of cooking, global travels, and a deep appreciation for bold flavours — the goal was simple: create hot sauces with depth, soul, and character.

Today, we’re an award-winning family business crafting over 30 small-batch artisan hot sauces in Oakville, Canada. Offering everything from Mild to Wild, Mojo Peppa Sauce covers a world of flavours, from the authentic to the eclectic. We’re proud recipients of the 2022 Professional Hot Sauce Grand Champion title at the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair, along with multiple ribbon wins in 2023 and again in 2025.
