Catalinbread Manx Loaghtan Fuzz Pedal

The Big Muff is one of the most heavily replicated fuzz pedals out there. It 's many variations over the years have created some of the most inspiring tones in rock n roll and even today remains one of the most popular fuzz circuits. Instead of painstakingly re-creating that one magic muff tone, Catalinbread took a different approach and sought to push forward and innovate this classic fuzz making it more versatile and usable as well as improving upon the highlights of the muff. The result is the Catalinbread Manx Loaghtan. The first and most noticeable (both visually and tonally) difference is the replacement of the tone stack with Bass and Treble controls. But these aren't your ordinary tone controls. These little knobbys hide the almighty Baxandall tone circuit, one of the most powerful, passive tone shaping circuits out there. Using these two knobs, the tone of the Catalinbread Manx Loaghtan can go from scooped and heavy to midrange thick and grimy, all the while remaining fluid and smooth. Aside from the Baxandall circuit, the Catalinbread Manx Loaghtan has also improved upon the overall tone by delivering a Sustain control that is usable throughout the sweep, liquid sustain that won't woof out on the neck pickup, and a harmonic laden flute-like sing. The Catalinbread Manx Loaghtan is an innovative design, pushing through the boundaries that define tone and coming up with an incredible fuzz that will delight any enthusiast of both the vintage and the modern.
